Obama goes kaboom!
Taking a line from the lovely Katy Perry, Barack Obama is a firework. Which type of firework is yet to be determined. Maybe an M-80 because of the demolition he's done to the economy and jobs sector? Maybe a smoke ball with the smoke screen he tries to use to hide the 'accomplishments' of his administration thus far? One of those little snakes (which needs no explanation)? I know, the sky rocket, and I'll let this dope explain it to you in his own words why I went with a sky rocket:
The man is such a buffoon of epic proportions, I'm having trouble figuring out where to start. "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." Hey OBAMA, our energy rates are ALREADY skyrocketing - specifically because of YOUR ADMINISTRATION'S POLICIES. Locally, Duke Energy just asked the state of NC for a 15% increase in our electricity rates. They got a measly 7.2% hike approved. What energies AREN'T Skyrocketing in an economy that is total crap? What happens if the economy shows even a hint of improvement? With oil being over $100 right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see $200 a barrel when/if the economy turns around.
What does that mean. EVERYTHING, and I mean, EVERYTHING is going to be more expensive, all while this toss pot is running around saying the rich need to do their part because they're *only* taxed at around 40% (here in NC), and I'm campaigning 'for the little guy'. Any of you half wits that are honestly considering voting for this man, who blatantly admits that his plans are to make your costs skyrocket, don't EVER whine about the gap between the rich and the poor getting larger. It's specifically because of this man's policies meant to drive more people into government dependence. Don't believe me? THERE'S OVER 45 MILLION AMERICANS ON FOOD STAMPS RIGHT NOW. That's 1 out of 6! A record under this dope's administration.
It's simple, you bump the electric & oil rates on the farmers, the warehouses, the trucking companies, and the stores, then every element of the supply chain sees an increase in their costs. Guess who pays those costs. You do! It's time to wise up America and vote this big government, tax & spend, mental midget out of office. I don't care if he's running against a walnut in 2012, I'd vote for the walnut.

Thanksgiving - The denial guide (for liberals)
I wanted to address an article directly that I read on the hotair...errr...huffingtonpost.com. Sticking with Rule #42 of liberalism, "if you say something 3 times, it miraculously becomes true", this article from Scott Stenholm on "A Liberals Guide to Surviving Thanksgiving" got me laughing. Such a guffaw can only originate from a man who is more misinformed than the people trying to figure out what their protesting on wall street. To be honest, I was rather surprised that any true liberal would celebrate such a holiday as Thanksgiving after the white man stole the Indians' land and lead millions of innocent tasty turkeys to the slaughter! You'd figure liberals would be out beating their oil based plastic drums protesting at the local Indian casino offering to give them 'their' land back. Maybe a video of liberals crying around a tee pee would be apropos.
Scott's article is so completely erroneous it's just sad. Let's address the main points:
#1) "The fact that liberals freed the slaves" - WRONG - that was Lincoln - A republican.
#2) "Helped create civil rights" - WRONG - dimcorats were the pioneers in the KKK, jim crow laws, and more.
#3) "Created Social Security and Medicare" - No kidding, and both funds have been raided by them for their social projects to the point of bankruptcy.
#4) "Are the ones at the forefront of protecting God's green earth." No kidding...who can forget the crying hippies and that oil companies are evil, evil empires (even though every liberal and their brother uses oil based products EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THEIR LIVES).
#5) Finally, and this one had me rolling. "Shot Osama bin Laden in the face." What a joke...I'm not even going to respond to that.
Now that you know what to tell the clueless, oikophobe liberal relative, let's address some current events.
#1) The occupy wall street movement. It's managed to combined the Nazi Socialist Party of The US, the Communist Party of the US, AND THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY under a common banner. Captain obvious saw this one coming from a mile out. It's just astounding how easy the media can glaze over it.
#2) The national debt just passed $15,000,000,000,000...everyone at your table now owes over $100,000, and this president has broken records adding to it. But hey, don't let the fact that the US is more bankrupt than Greece, Ireland, Italy, and Portugal COMBINED get in the way of the next great social program!
#3) Obama's out touting jobs, and blaming the republicans for the hold up. Enter exhibit A, the oil pipeline from Canada. Tentacles from the obama administration have caused delays in creating around 18,000 new jobs. Not to mention, we could reduce the impact OPEC has on oil prices, AND reduce our imports from the middle east. But hey, has logic EVER gotten in the way of the liberal way of thinking? Ask your liberal friend if they are enjoying the turkey that 18,000 families could have enjoyed, but thanks to Obama, aren't.
Don't be discouraged when your liberal relative decides to bury their head in the sand and disregard every point you've just made. They find the sand warm & comfy. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. And remember...be thankful you're not a liberal!!!

The fowl stench of hippies has violated my nostrils...

Charlotte, a world class city, has finally caught up with the times! We've got 'occupiers', or as I like to call them - dirty, smelly hippies protesting. Still better known as useful idiots, what exactly are these people protesting? Not even they appear to know, or for that matter, how long they plan to protest. It appears the bong resin is strong with these people. If they're protesting the bank bailouts, they're only about 3 years too late. I'm wondering, how many of these people are in front of GM protesting? I have yet to see any news coverage of that. Maybe the union demagogues crossed GM off the list since they own most of the company now?
The true question is, why are they expending so much energy sitting around downtown? They could just as easily be sitting on their couch getting high debating the latest political topics using buzzwords that none of them know the meaning to (FYI: "Demagogue: A political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.") I mean you have to dust off your protest posters, fuel up the prius, and get batteries for the megaphone. Seems like an awful lot of work for a bunch of lazy, communal hippies.
So lets trip on some acid, and look into the mindset of the average occupier to see just what might be going on! A few observations:
A) Enter the occupier time machine. It's likely they've spent the last 3 years high, and just figured out that the banks received a bailout. Since they're stuck in this hippie time vortex, they haven't gotten around to the part that they paid the money back. In another two years, they may feel sheepish for their useless protests who they self admittedly stated probably accomplish nothing. There is one company that received a bailout that didn't pay all the money back, and actually cost taxpayers $21,000,000,000 - but they make the Chevy volt - so they'll get a free pass.
B) Shower strike!!! Just a quick note. If you're trying to prove a point to the average American, emulating a hobo tent city and not showering for week's on end does not make a good first impression. People who smell like a dumpster aren't going to earn any bonus points in the respect column, which makes it all the more likely your ideas will go over like a lead balloon.
C) Corporate America has done more to support local charities and help humane causes than any of these people could ever dream. Millions upon millions of dollars and thousands of employee hours are dedicated to charitable causes. Here's the short list - just for B of A.
Is corporate America perfect? Of course not! There will always be greed. There will always be corruption, but it is the exception rather than the rule that these 'occupiers' make it out to be. Maybe if these people would take the time to educate themselves instead of simply reacting on a purely emotional level, they could avoid making themselves look like a bunch of useful idiots for transparent leftist organizations.

HA! Even Hollywood is fed up with Washington!
It's called, "I want your money." Definitely worth checking out.

Bend Over America

The latest numbers for the upcoming tax code changes occurring this January have finally been released, so it's time to bend over America. I was worried about the tax increases when Obama was elected, with the liberals holding both houses. I was getting scared when they passed Obamacare. Now that I've seen the actual numbers, I can literally say I'm terrified.
Wait a second...didn't the dalibama promise that no one's taxes would be raised if you didn't earn at least $250k?! I'm about 153k short of that figure, and I can tell you that my taxes are going up by $3k JUST from the "expiring" of the Bush tax cuts. Another B.S. gov't technicality that is going to screw every working man and woman in the US by allowing tax cuts to expire, rather than just say we're increasing them.
There's a very important word in that last sentence - "working". You see, if you're actually in the ever increasing pool of 'takers' in this nation, it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you're a working stiff like me, it means thousands of dollars in 'disposable' income goes out the door. In the last year that the dalibama has been in office, the size of the government has increased 25%. I'll give Obama credit. That's quite a feat for any President. I doubt any socialist or communist leader can claim to do better.
Here's what's headed our way:
First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief
In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011:
Personal income tax rates will rise. The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed). The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise. Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates. The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:
- The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
- The 25% bracket rises to 28%
- The 28% bracket rises to 31%
- The 33% bracket rises to 36%
- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%
Higher taxes on marriage and family. The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child. The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level. The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.
The return of the Death Tax. This year, there is no death tax. For those dying on or after January 1 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.
Higher tax rates on savers and investors. The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.
Second Wave: Obamacare
There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include:
The Tanning Tax. This went into effect on July 1st of this year. It imposes a new, 10% excise tax on getting a tan at a tanning salon. There is no exemption for tanners making less than $250,000 per year.
The “Medicine Cabinet Tax” Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).
The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike. This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.
Brand Name Drug Tax. Starting next year, there will be a multi-billion dollar tax assessment imposed on name-brand drug manufacturers. This tax, like all excise taxes, will raise the price of medicine, hurting everyone.
Economic Substance Doctrine. The IRS is now empowered to disallow perfectly-legal tax deductions and maneuvers merely because it judges that the deduction or action lacks “economic substance.” This is obviously an arbitrary empowerment of IRS agents.
Employer Reporting of Health Insurance Costs on a W-2. This will start for W-2s in the 2011 tax year. While not a tax increase in itself, it makes it very easy for Congress to tax employer-provided healthcare benefits later.
Third Wave: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes
When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired. These major items include:
The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year. According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.
Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear. Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or “depreciate”) equipment purchases up to $250,000. This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can expense half of their purchases of equipment. In January of 2011, all of it will have to be “depreciated.”
Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses. There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit,” but there are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.
Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced. The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available. Tax credits for education will be limited. Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses. Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut. Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed. The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for hundreds of thousands of families.
Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed. Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA. This contribution also counts toward an annual “required minimum distribution.” This ability will no longer be there.
******VOTE THE IDIOTS OUT*******
This November, we'll see a conservative revolution that will mirror the 94 elections. You'll see the house taken back, and in all likelihood, the Senate. There is one crucial element to make sure it happens, and that's YOU! You may think your vote means nothing, but you MUST cast your vote for conservative values this November. Let's bring real 'hope and change' to Washington this year!

Mad Man Makes The Local News
I gave an interview to one of our local news stations on a story about Mecklenburg County (liberal central), wanting to raise our taxes for...well...we couldn't figure that out! Let's face facts here. The left doesn't need an excuse to raise your taxes another $50 a year.
Someone needs to tell Mr. Dumont Clarke that in order to "subsidize" something, the people your "subsidizing" actually have to use the service. In the 5+ years I've lived out here, we've seen the county police out here once. That's right, once! A motorcyclist was hit by a woman speeding (because everyone knows our road hasn't seen an officer actually clocking speeders in 50 years) while texting, crossed over into the motorcyclists lane, and hit him head on.
Furthermore, if anyone is doing the subsidizing, it's us! On top of our standard county tax rate (which funds the CMPD), we're actually having to pay extra for a special line item called 'police service' - just because we don't live in a town.
